Eddie supports multiple captioning options to ensure your videos are accessible and professional. Here’s how you can work with captions:

1. Adding Captions to Your Video

• Eddie automatically detects and transcribes speech in your video to create captions.

• You can choose to export videos with embedded captions directly from Eddie.

2. Export Options for Captions

SRT Export: You can download an SRT file for use in other platforms or for manual editing. For example: you can import SRT into Final Cut Pro via File / Import / Captions. You can also import SRT files into Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.

ProRes Captions: Eddie also supports exporting ProRes captions, suitable for high-quality professional workflows.

3. Captions in FCP

When you export your edit to Final Cut Pro, "FCP Titles" (which are like captions) are automatically added to your timeline/fcp project. To style these captions in FCP, select all the titles and then you can change the font/size/etc in the relevant pane in FCP.
