Names can be confusing so we'd like to clarify what we mean when we say "multicam clips" vs "multicam sequences".

Note: you can import both multicam clips and multicam sequences from Adobe Premiere Pro into Eddie, though the former (multicam clips) is preferred and recommended.

To import:

  • multicam clips: click the Adobe/Resolve icon in the import box in Eddie to see the list of the bin and choose the clips you want to import. In FCP: drag the mc clip from your FCP event to Eddie.

  • multicam sequences/dirty mcs: see how to import from Premiere. Resolve/FCP: we don't support dirty multicams (yet).

Definitions:

Multicam Clips

This is where you select the sources assets in your bin and right click to create a mc clip (in Adobe, the menu item is called 'Create multi-camera source sequene). Here's a demo of how to create this:

In the Adobe Premiere bin, the icon looks like this:

Multicam Sequences:

This is where you create a timeline and then you add and align the source assets onto tracks like v1, v2, and v3. Here's an example of what it often looks like:

In the Adobe Premiere bin, the icon looks like this:

There is a workaround to import multicam sequences: see here.
