Eddie makes collaboration easy by allowing you to share your video projects with others. Whether you’re looking for feedback or working with a team, sharing is a breeze.

Share your project:

1. Click “Share”:

You’ll find the Share button in your project workspace. Click it when you’re ready to share your project.

2. Generate a Shareable Link:

Eddie will automatically generate a link that you can copy and send to collaborators.

3. Collaborate Seamlessly:

The person you share the link with will be able to view the project and, depending on permissions, can provide feedback or even contribute to the edit.

How to open a Share link:

There are some projects that can only be opened in the Eddie Mac/PC app. Other projects can be opened on the web.

If a project needs to be opened in Eddie Mac/PC:

  1. Make sure you/your teammate/client downloads the latest Eddie

  2. Click the "New Project" icon at the top left in the header

  3. Click the three-dot icon at the top in the pop-up (see below screenshot). Then click "Import share link".

    Select project mode

    Import project using share link

  4. Paste in the share link

Paste share link and click Import

TaDa!

Why Share?

  • Collaboration: Sharing makes it easy to work with others remotely. Your collaborators can jump into the project and see your progress instantly. They can clone the edit, create their own version.

  • Feedback-Friendly: Perfect for collecting input from clients or teammates without needing to export and send large video files.

  • Share projects with yourself when using multiple devices. Eddie saves projects locally to your device. For example if you are editing at home and then you want to access that project at work, the project is not saved to the cloud by default. The solution here is to create a share url and send it to yourself so you can access it at work.
