This guide will walk you through importing media from Frame.io into Eddie.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure you are using Frame.io v3 (do NOT upgrade to v4).

  • You have a frame.io account and you use the f.io share links that you see in your own account; you cannot just copy an f.io share link that someone else provided you;

How to import media in Frame.io to Eddie

  1. Connect your Frame.io Account

Open Eddie and click the Frame.io logo/button.

Go through the flow to authorize your Frame.io to provide access to Eddie so it can pull the media you want to Eddie

To ensure Eddie can access your Frame.io media, you must log in to your Frame.io account and authorize Eddie specifically. This allows Eddie to fetch and import the media you want to edit

  2. Get Shareable Links from Frame.io

In a separate tab: log in to your Frame.io account.

Find the file you want to import.

Click the three-dot icon next to the file.

  3. Select Share > Share for Review.

  4. Copy the generated link.

  5. Paste Links in Eddie

    Go back to Eddie.

Paste the copied link into the provided field.

Hit the + button to add additional files.

  6. Click Continue and then choose "Start Import"

Eddie AI will import the media and process it, ready for you to prompt it with a story to edit it to.

Tada! Now you can bring in media from Frame.io, like you can do so from other cloud providers such as Google Drive and Dropbox.

Note: If you need to switch to a different Frame.io account, navigate back to the connection settings in Eddie and update your account preferences.
