Eddie integrates into your workflow, including if you have video assets in Final Cut Pro that you would like Eddie to edit.
Eddie AI supports importing/exporting from/to Final Cut Pro.
This means:
IMPORT: You can drag clips/projects (aka timelines) from your event in FCP to Eddie
EXPORT: You can drag the edit from Eddie to the event in FCP

Supported FCP clips:
Eddie's Chat & Edit and Clean Up / Scripted modes support the following FCP clip types:
standard clips
multicams
sync clips
compound clips
Note: do NOT have descriptive metadata such as notes, favorites, ratings, etc etc on your clip before you bring it to Eddie or else they may not relink on roundtrip back to FCP.
Note: more complex structures of the above clip types may not be supported.
Unsupported clip/structures:
multicam clips with multiple-files per angle
clips with effects, transitions, titles, generators

How to use Eddie with FCP: walk-through video
To import multicams, sync clips, and/or compound clips in Rough Cut mode, make sure to toggle to "Multicam" first:
Then highlight all the clips you want to import in your event in FCP and drag them to Eddie all at once.
Eddie also supports dragging standard clips from FCP into other modes like Original/chatGPT, Social Media, A and B-roll logging.
To get edits/projects/timelines back to FCP: click Export and then drag the edit icon to the Event in Final Cut Pro.
