When you create a "Scripted" project, you're asked to import your videos plus paste in the script into the prompt box. Eddie then cuts the videos to that script, choosing the best takes. Learn more about Scripted mode here.

When you export to your NLE, you will see a stringout of the best takes on a timeline with the alternative takes aligned to the best take but on upper tracks and disabled. This allows you to easily view what Eddie chose as the best take and see the alternative takes if you want to select them instead.

Coming soon for FCP: Eddie to support FCP's audition tag

  • Final Cut Pro has a clip format called "Auditions" that allow takes to be grouped together and easily allow the user to toggle between takes and downstream clips adjust automatically on the timeline.
