Easily send an edit from Eddie to Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve where it will seamlessly re-create the timeline and relink to the source media!

Prerequisites:

    • If you use Eddie | Web, you can still download the edit (as an XML/FCPXML) and then import that into your NLE via the menu options. Learn more: Adobe | Resolve | FCP

  • Installed: Adobe Premiere, FCP or DaVinci Resolve 19 and 18

You can now drag the edit from Eddie right into Adobe and FCP!!

FCP:

Drag your edit from Eddie (for Macs_Win) & drop into FCP.mp4 [video-to-gif output image]

Adobe:

Resolve:

Here's how.

  1. You need to use the Eddie AI application that's built for Macs/Windows. Eddie | Web doesn't support this new feature yet.

  2. Import videos into Eddie; prompt Eddie for an edit;

  3. Then click the "Export" button under the video player and choose either Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro.

  4. A pop-up will appear: hold and drag the green XML icon (seen below) right into the bin on Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro. The timeline will appear in the bin: double click on it to open it and it will seamlessly relink to your source media. This timeline is the same edit you had crafted in Eddie.

Drag the green "XML" icon...

...and drop it into the bin of Adobe Premiere or event of Final Cut Pro.

The timeline will recreate in your video editing application.

TaDa! That was fast!

This feature replaces the previous option where you had to first download the XML / FCPXML and then import it into Adobe / FCP. This new feature saves a few steps.

But you can still download the XML/FCPXML if you want to by clicking the option at the bottom of the export modal (see below screenshot).

If you prefer to download the XML/FCPXML and manually import it into Adobe/FCP, click the link at the bottom of the pop-up.
