If your Eddie AI extension isn't installing in Adobe Premiere Pro, follow these troubleshooting steps in order:
โ€‹

1. Check Creative Cloud Sign-In

First, verify that you're signed into Adobe Creative Cloud. The Eddie extension requires an active Creative Cloud session to install properly.

  • Open the Creative Cloud desktop app

  • Confirm you're logged in with your Adobe account

  • If not signed in, log in and try installing the extension again

2. Close All Adobe Applications

Make sure Adobe Premiere Pro and all other Adobe applications are completely closed before attempting to install the extension.

  • Quit Premiere Pro

  • Close any other Adobe apps (After Effects, Media Encoder, etc.)

  • Check your system tray/menu bar to ensure no Adobe processes are running in the background

3. Restart Eddie

Close and relaunch the Eddie AI application. This refreshes the connection between Eddie and Premiere Pro, which often resolves installation issues.

4. Restart Your Computer

A full system restart can clear temporary conflicts that prevent the extension from installing properly. After restarting, launch Eddie and try installing the extension again.

5. Reinstall Eddie

If the extension still won't install, try reinstalling Eddie AI:

  • Uninstall Eddie from your system

  • Download the latest version from www.heyeddie.ai

  • Install Eddie and attempt the extension installation again
