Eddie automatically creates captions/titles when you export your edit from Eddie to your NLE (Premiere, FCP, and Resolve). Most users find it very helpful. Some users would prefer to not have them.

There isn't a way to export from Eddie without titles/captions.

BUT you can easily remove captions/titles on your sequence in your NLE.

Option 1: select the first title/caption. Then shift-select the last title. And delete.

Option 2: disable the captions/title track.

Here's the specifics for how to remove titles on a sequence in DaVinci Resolve:

Remove All Titles from a Sequence

  • Open the Timeline Index (the three-line icon at the top left of the timeline).

  • Filter by Titles or search “Title.”

  • Select all the listed title clips and delete them at once.

Disable a Whole Track (if all titles are on one track)

  • Lock or disable the video track where you’ve placed the titles.

  • To disable: right-click the track header and choose Disable Track.
This will hide everything on that track, including titles.
