Step 1: Export Your XML from Eddie
1. Make sure your video edit is complete and ready for export.
2. Click the Export button below the video player.
3. Choose DaVinci Resolve XML as your export format and download the file when it’s ready.
Step 2: Open DaVinci Resolve
1. Launch DaVinci Resolve on your computer.
2. Create a New Project or open an existing one.
Step 3: Import Your XML
1. In the File, right-click and select Import > Timeline
2. Navigate to the XML file you downloaded from Eddie and click Open.
3. A prompt will appear asking you to locate the clips used in the project—select the folder where your original footage is stored.
Step 4: Relink Your Media
1. In the dialog box, choose the appropriate media files that match your timeline footage.
2. Once linked, your timeline will appear under the Edit tab.
And that’s it! You’ve successfully imported your Eddie XML into DaVinci Resolve. Happy editing!
