Eddie is focused on cutting from raw video footage.

BUT there's currently a workaround for importing wav/mp3/audio files. 

Place those audio files on a timeline in DaVinci Resolve / Adobe Premiere Pro. Then import that timeline into Eddie.

This hack/workaround does not work for FCP.
