Eddie supports a variety of codecs to ensure compatibility and ease of use for professional video editors.
You can import by import files directly or via import clips from your video editing application.
Import BRAW / R3D via your Video Editing Application
Importing clips from your video editing applications allows for support for a lot more codecs/containers, incl proprietary codecs like r3d/braw.
Supported Video Codecs:
1. H.264 (MP4)
• This is the most commonly used codec, perfect for online sharing and general use.
2. ProRes
• Ideal for high-quality video editing, ProRes offers better resolution and color depth.
3. HEVC (H.265)
• High-efficiency video codec providing smaller file sizes without compromising quality.
Supported Audio Codecs:
• AAC
• WAV
• MP3
Multicam Audio:
• Eddie now supports multicam projects with audio, ensuring all camera angles can be synced accurately. Make sure each video file includes embedded audio for optimal synchronization.
Supported Container Formats:
• MP4
• MOV
• MFX
Tips for Best Performance:
• Ensure your video files use one of the supported codecs for seamless integration.

If you encounter issues with unsupported codecs, you may need to transcode your file using software like Adobe Media Encoder before uploading it to Eddie. Learn more about creating proxies.
