Welcome to Eddie, your AI assistant video editor to help you create rough cuts from interviews and log A/B rolls super fast.
The best experience is to download Eddie for Mac and PCs. You can also use Eddie for web.
1. Create a New Project
1. Click “New Project” and choose a "mode" that reflects what you want to achieve in Eddie.
2. Import Your Videos
Once your project is created, import your videos
If you're creating a rough cut, Eddie works best with videos that have clear audio and dialogue—interviews, vlogs, or any footage with good sound quality.
Eddie can import files that are on your computer, in your video editing application (Adobe | Resolve | FCP), or in the cloud (frame.io, Google Drive, etc)
Select your files and Eddie will import, process and analyze it, ready for prompt-based video editing.
3. Give Eddie a Prompt
Once your video imports, Eddie can perform edits with your text commands in some modes, such as the "ChatGPT / Original mode". You can ask Eddie to list the key topics in the video, identify soundbites and create edits based on topics. And so so so much more.
Example prompts:
• “Create a 1-minute cut from the interview.” Eddie will find key moments and trim it down.
• “Find the part where they talk about [insert topic].” Eddie will locate and cut the soundbite.
• “Cut together the discussion about the company’s future.” Let Eddie pull the relevant clips for you.
4. Export Your Edit
When you’re satisfied with your edit, click the export button under the video player.
• MP4: For general use.
• Vertical MP4: Ideal for Instagram, TikTok, and other social media.
• Video Editing Applications: The sequence/timeline Eddie cut will be re-created in your NLE -- such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve -- to complete and polish there.
Steps to Export:
1. Click “Export” under the video player.
2. Select MP4, Vertical MP4, or choose the video editing application.
3. Eddie will notify you when the export is ready. Simple!
5. Share Your Video
You can share your project by clicking the "Share" button at the top right.
